Thoughts from the bookshelf - Groundhog Edition

1. There are two books I am able to read over and over – The Stand by Stephen King and The Dragon and the Unicorn by A.A. Attanasio. Every time I read them, they are new all over again.
2. A book I never, ever want to read again? The Watchers by Jon Steele. All due to the lone female character of Katherine. Worst. Damsel-in-distress. Stereotype. Ever. Useless character there only for sexual situations it seems. Did she really have to be a prostitute Steele?
3. Worst nightmare ever? Being stuck on a deserted island without a book to read.
4. If I ever become a ghost stuck on earth the first thing I will do is learn how to hold a book in my ghostly hands so that I can keep reading for eternity.
5. Do you think alien beings on other planets have books?
6. Imagine plugging a book in and having the entire world of that book open up before you in 3D imagery and tell you the story? Like a movie, but it follows the book exactly!! Sigh.
7. Anytime the statement “I don’t like to read” is uttered, a book fairy dies.
8. The librarian fantasy is due to the fact that all people everywhere, secretly think reading is sexy.
9. In a past life of mine I was a female mystery writer in the 1800`s and wrote under a male pseudonym.  This is according to an old friend of mine who claimed to have visions of people`s past lives.  I don`t know how I feel about this.  I don`t really like mystery.
10. If I had a time machine I would go back in time and beg Stephenie Meyer to write a book about fairies instead of vampires.  At least I can buy the idea of fairies sparkling.
