So true about vacation and reading 🙂 We go camping for a week every year (well, cottaging lol), and I’ve already got my book picked out-The Forgotten Garden, by Kate Morton. It’s a chunkster, at 648 pages, and vacation is the perfect time to read a bigger book 🙂
“I wonder if short stories wished they were longer”. This one is my favorite.
I totally agree with the Barbie one! I never quite got into the whole Barbie thing as a kid, but maybe I would have if there had been one with spectacles and her nose in a book – either Bookworm Barbie like you said (which has a great ring to it anyway) or Librarian Barbie, Novelist Barbie, Bookshop Barbie. Any would’ve been good.
